The University of Florida hit the jackpot on Wednesday afternoon, as DJ Lagway went public with his commitment to Billy Napier and the Gators.
Lagway, who straps up the pads for Willis (Texas) High, is one of the elite signal callers in the 2024 class. The On3 Consensus ranks him as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 21 prospect overall; however, On3 itself is even higher on the junior standout, tabbing him as the No. 2 quarterback and No. 7 player overall. He is also the top-ranked junior in talent-rich Texas, so always that speaks volumes.
When it was all said and done, the Gators edged out USC for Lagway’s services under center. Clemson, Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Oregon are some additional offers on the table.
