SOCIAL SLANT: Reaction to the Gators reeling in Josiah Davis
This afternoon, Billy Napier and the Gators were on the receiving end of a commitment from Josiah Davis. He is a 2024 athlete who will line up at safety for the SEC program.
Representing Nashville (Ga.) Berrien, Davis is a three-star prospect and the No. 39 safety in the 2024 class. That is according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Davis received a scholarship offer in late February and then made two trips to Gainesville in March. The Gators were named the leader before those visits took place, so it has been all Florida in recent weeks.

The Gators edged out Tennessee, N.C. State, Kentucky and Louisville for Davis’ commitment.
