SOCIAL SLANT: Strong reaction to Florida's commitment from T.J. Searcy
The Gators made a major splash in the headlines on Monday morning, as top-50 defensive lineman T.J. Searcy announced his commitment to the University of Florida.
A product of Thomaston (Ga.) Upson-Lee, the 6-foot-5.5, 243-pound Searcy checks in as the No. 6 defensive lineman and No. 49 player overall. That is according to On3βs 2023 rankings, while the On3 Consensus has the four-star prospect as the No. 19 defensive lineman and No. 153 player overall.
Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia were additional schools in pursuit of Searcy.
