Social Slant: Twitter buzzes over Florida Gators' 3-2 win over TCU at College World Series
The Cardiac Gators have struck again.
After winning each of its first two games at the College World Series by a single run, Florida beat TCU 3-2 in a thriller Wednesday to reach the event finals.
The Horned Frogs tied it at 2 in the eighth, and seemed to have the momentum.
But with two outs in the top half of the ninth, an infield single by Cade Kurland plated Michael Robertson. Reliever Brandon Neely recorded three outs in the bottom of the inning to end it — but it wasn’t easy. With two outs, Robertson made a leaping grab in deep centerfield to end TCU’s hopes.
Florida next will face LSU or Wake Forest.
