Steve Spurrier celebrates two-year anniversary of his restaurant
UF ambassador and former Gators coach and quarterback Steve Spurrier is celebrating the two-year anniversary of his restaurant, Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille, on Monday.
Florida fans can join the HBC and his wife Jerri for a charity dinner, hosted by Coach Spurrier himself, on August 14 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille will be packed with fans of the locally owned part restaurant, part museum and special guests from Gator Nation.
Spurrier’s is teaming up with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida to raise money. The restaurant will donate 11 percent of all food sales and 66 percent of all beer, wine, and cocktail sales to the local charity assisting families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

A premier buffet of favorites, from a filet mignon carving station to prime rib to shrimp and grits and the special cookies Jerri Spurrier would make for every player’s birthday will be served. Also on the menu is a healthy side of fun and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Guests can enter to win door prizes including a limited-edition commemorative coin celebrating the second anniversary, autographed items, and a grand prize: dinner with Coach and Jerri Spurrier at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille.

The flagship restaurant of the Florida faithful plans to run up the fun after last year’s celebration attracted many of Coach Spurrier’s former coaches and players, as well as big stars from Gator Nation and college football. Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille expects this year’s party to be bigger and better.
Join the HBC for a night of celebration, food, drinks, prizes and fundraising for a good cause. The restaurant announced Friday that dinner reservations have sold out, but fans can still attend the event and sit at the open bar.
