Ten Florida Gators commits included in updated On300 rankings
On Monday afternoon, the latest batch of 2024 On300 rankings were made public.
As expected, more than half of the Gators’ top-three class made the cut, including new offensive tackle commit Fletcher Westphal, who is ranked at No. 266 overall. He pulled himself off the market less than 30 minutes ago, committing to the Gators over Clemson and Arkansas.
The highest-ranked Gators commit is Willis (Texas) quarterback DJ Lagway. He checks in at No. 46 overall after initially being slotted at No. 20; however, there will be plenty of ranking adjustments in the coming months. This is an elite talent who does not shy away from the spotlight, so opportunities will be there.
In addition to Lagway, the Gators also hold a top-100 commitment from safety Xavier Filsaime.
Below is an overview of where each Florida commit is ranked inside the On300.
- Willis (Texas) quarterback DJ Lagway: No. 46 overall (-26)
- McKinney (Texas) safety Xavier Filsaime: No. 57 overall (-9)
- Largo (Fla.) linebacker Adarius Hayes: No. 118 overall (-11)
- Portal (Ga.) tight end Amir Jackson: No. 136 overall (-13)
- Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy linebacker Myles Graham: No. 147 overall (+43)
- Olney (Md.) Good Counsel linebacker Aaron Chiles: No. 216 overall (-1)
- Dublin (Ga.) defensive lineman Nasir Johnson: No. 245 overall (+/-)
- Leesburg (Va.) Tuscarora offensive tackle Fletcher Westphal: No. 266 overall (-8)
- Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day wide receiver Izaiah Williams: No. 276 overall (-42)
- West Point (Miss.) running back Kahnen Daniels: No. 280 overall (-3)
Class headliner DJ Lagway is a man on a mission
“It depends on the type of relationship I have with that person or not. Some people like that, to be on them about it but some people don’t. You have to figure out the person and the player and find out how they want to be communicated with,” Lagway previosuly said on the Gators Online Show when asked about his recruiting approach.
“I just really want to build a bond even if they didn’t come to Florida, and I wish that they did. But even if they didn’t, you still have that relationship with them. Because you never know, with the transfer portal, they could maybe end up right back at square one and choose Florida. I just want to build that relationship with those guys and get on a personal level so they can trust me and trust my word.

“I’m really excited about what the future holds. I definitely wanted to be part of what coach Napier is about to build and where this program is heading. I’m just thankful and honored to be a part of it.
“I’m ready to get down to Gainesville and get to work right away. Just come in and try to compete for a starting job, be a day-one leader and lead my teammates to success on and off the field.”
