The Gators have landed their second running back from the 2025 class to pair with Waltez Clark.

It’s Chad Gasper of Fulshear (Texas) Katy Jordan. We recently highlighted him as a potential next commitment for the Gators.

“It was their culture, passion of the staff and family atmosphere that led me to committing to Florida,” Gasper told Gators Online.

“Coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Jabbar) Juluke painted me a great picture for what they are building. I feel with my skills, I can be a valued part of their success.”

Gasper made his first trip to Gainesville on March 29 and raved about his experience. That came after Juluke visited him at school in January to extend the offer.

The Texas native is scheduled to officially visit on May 31-June 2; however, he simply found no reason to wait any longer, resulting in Friday morning’s verbal commitment.

Gasper, 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, is the No. 40-ranked running back in the 2025 class. That is according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which also labels him the No. 517 prospect overall.

“I love coach Juluke, loved the head coach (Billy Napier), the environment, running backs room, I liked it a lot,” Gasper recently told GO.

“I loved coach Juluke’s coaching style. I liked how he kept it real; he kept it short and simple. He said he’s going to keep it real with all of his running backs and teach us life lessons. He said it’s not all about football; it’s about life too and he said he’s going to shape and develop me into a better man.”

With Gasper on board, Florida now holds commitments from five prospects in the 2025 class. Its recruiting class ranks 19th nationally and 10th in the SEC.

Previous top contenders were Tennessee, Kansas, Houston and Memphis. Schools that offered much earlier in the process include Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Nebraska and Duke.

During his junior season, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound Gasper rushed for 488 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He also hauled in 15 passes for 136 yards and another score.
