These Gators are still alive in the NFL Playoffs

The NFL Playoffs began last weekend and the Florida Gators were well-represented in those games. And, several of them advanced to the upcoming Divisional Round. Here’s a look at this week’s schedule and the Gators on each respective squad.

Saturday, Jan. 18

AFC(4) Houston Texans at (1) Kansas City Chiefs, 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN/ABC, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes)

NFC(6) Washington Commanders at (1) Detroit Lions, 8 p.m. ET (FOX, FOX Deportes)

Sunday, Jan. 19

NFC(4) Los Angeles Rams at (2) Philadelphia Eagles, 3 p.m. ET (NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, Universo)

AFC(3) Baltimore Ravens at (2) Buffalo Bills, 6:30 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Here are the Florida Gators still in the playoffs

KAIR ELAM, CB, Buffalo: Playoffs — INACTIVE/INJURED. Regular season — 13 games played with four starts; 26 total tackles (17 solo), 2 pass breakups.
O’CYRUS TORRENCE, OG, Buffalo: Playoffs — Started in win over Denver. Regular season — 16 starts this season.
RICHARD GOURAIGE, OT, Buffalo: Playoffs — Has not played. Regular season — Reserve; has played in one game this season.
ALEX ANZALONE, LB, Detroit: Playoffs — Had bye. Regular season — 10 games played with 10 starts; 63 tackles (43 solo), 1 sack, 5 pass breakups.
KINGSLEY EGUAKUN, C, Detroit: Playoffs — Had bye. Regular season — Reserve.
DAMEON PIERCE, RB, Houston: Playoffs — 2 carries, 15 yards in win over L.A. Chargers. Regular season — Backup with 40 carries for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns; 9 kickoff returns, 339 yards.
TOMMY TOWNSEND, P, Houston: Playoffs — 4 punts for a 45.8 average. Regular season — Ranked 13th in the NFL with a 48-yard average.
JAWAAN TAYLOR, OT, Kansas City: Playoffs — Had bye. Regular season — Made 16 starts at right tackle. Taylor has been dealing with a lingering knee injury for a month.
DJ HUMPHRIES, OT, Kansas City: Playoffs — Had bye. Regular season — Made two starts for the Chiefs, including last week. He signed with the team Nov. 22 but battled a hamstring issue in December that caused him to miss three games.
DEMARCUS ROBINSON, WR, LA Rams: Playoffs — 1 catch for 23 yards in win over Minnesota. Regular season — 31 catches for 505 yards and a career-high 7 touchdowns.
FRED JOHNSON, OT, Philadelphia: Playoffs — Played but did not start in win over Green Bay. Regular season — Five starts this season.
C.J. GARDNER-JOHNSON, S, Philadelphia: Playoffs — Did not record any stats. Regular season — Third in the NFL with six interceptions.
DANTE FOWLER JR., LB, Washington: Playoffs — 1 tackle in win over Tampa Bay. Regular season — 10.5 sacks this season, giving him 55.5 for his career (10 seasons).
