Pierre Louis says: “(Florida offensive line coach Jonathan Decoster) is Haitian and I’m Haitian, so we connect really well. We have a bond where he gives me great feedback and tells me where to improve and also shows me little tips and tricks to keep elevating my game. He shows me development of other players like me that they brought into their program. Overall, the vibes are really good. He’s been showing me what their plans for development are, like, how they go into each week and their grade-out sheets. It’s been really nice. … (The Gators’ other offensive line coach Rob Sale) is a smart, smart coach. He definitely knows what he’s talking about. I feel like he gets the best out of his players and everything he does. I like that a lot.”

What the Gators are getting in Daniel Pierre Louis
Scouting report … from Keith Niebuhr of Gators Online.
-Pierre Louis is a tough, physical and aggressive interior lineman who gets after it snap after snap. People in Gainesville are convinced he produced 4-star film as a senior. At Florida, a strong run game is vital to the team’s success and Pierre Louis has the body, the skillset and the attitude to give the Gators a boost on the interior. At the snap, he’s light on his feet for his size and is great at quickly getting his hands into the body of a defender. He then combines a stout power base and strong arms with a good football IQ to often knock his man out of the play. Need him to get to the second level? He can do that, too. In college, the defenders obviously will be much bigger and stronger, but Pierre Louis has the traits and mindset that should translate well to the SEC. Improved technique and a better understanding of leverage should carry him to an even higher level of play.
