Gasper says: “It was (the Gators’) culture, passion of the staff and family atmosphere that led me to committing to Florida. Coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Jabbar) Juluke painted me a great picture for what they are building. I feel with my skills, I can be a valued part of their success. … I loved coach Juluke’s coaching style. I liked how he kept it real; he kept it short and simple. He said he’s going to keep it real with all of his running backs and teach us life lessons. He said it’s not all about football; it’s about life too and he said he’s going to shape and develop me into a better man.”
Notable: Gasper has 13 carries for 103 yards on the season. He missed several games with a leg injury.

What the Gators are getting in Chad Gasper
Scouting Report: Here’s what On3’s Keith Niebuhr says about Gasper …
-He’s a tough, physical runner, the kind who isn’t easy to tackle with your arms. Gasper has the potential to wear down a defense some. Gasper has played in a passing offense. Jordan High threw for 3,070 yards in 11 games in 2023 and rushed for only 1,321 yards as a team. From that total, Gasper had 488 yards and 11 touchdowns on 99 carries. That 4.9 yards-per-carry average certainly doesn’t wow you. But as a team, Jordan averaged only 4.5 per rush. Basically, his team is built to pass block.
-All told, Gasper has carried the ball 315 times for 1,566 yards. He will arrive in Gainesville with fairly low mileage. It also means he’s used to not having 25 carries a game and probably won’t complain about not getting the ball more in college. We mentioned earlier that he’s a physical runner. But he also can be elusive in the open field due to his solid one-cut ability. That adds to his effectiveness catching the ball.
