Three-star WR Creed Whittemore de-commits from Florida
Florida’s class is now down to 21 commitments, as wide receiver Creed Whittemore went to Twitter on Sunday to announce that he has de-committed from the Gators.
Whittemore, the brother of Florida wide receiver Trent Whittemore, is a do-it-all athlete for nearly Gainesville (Fla.) Buchholz. His stock has been on the rise this fall and previously earned additional offers from Miami, Penn State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Louisville, Maryland and Wake Forest among others.
“Thankful for the opportunity the Gators coaching staff gave me. However, I am decommiting from the University of Florida,” Whittemore posted on Twitter.
Although the Gators are now down to four wide receiver commits, it’s still one of the best receiver classes for the 2023 cycle. It consists of Eugene Wilson III, Aidan Mizell, Andy Jean and Tyree Patterson.

With today’s news, the Gators are still equipped with the No. 8-ranked recruiting class.
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Whittemore ranks as a three-star prospect and the No. 63 wide receiver in the country.
Whittemore currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
