Top-100 WR Aidan Mizell locks in second visit to the University of Florida
One of the Gators’ priority targets at wide receiver is set for his second visit to the University of Florida.
Aidan Mizell, a four-star prospect from Orlando (Fla.) Boone, will be attending the Gators’ Orange and Blue Game on April 14, his family told Gators Online on Friday evening.
Not only is Mizell near the top of UF’s wish list, but both of his parents participated in track and field for the Gators as well. The junior himself is also highly regarded in that sport. He was recently in Gainesville for the Pepsi Florida Relays and then made his way over to the football facilities to meet with Napier’s staff.
For Mizell, who checks in at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, that was his first-ever visit with the Gators as a recruit.
“I went after my track meet around 12:30 and was mostly just hanging out with the staff,” Mizell previously told Gators Online. “I was in meetings with them, team meetings and positional meetings. Me and coach Colbert met one-on-one and talked about a few things, like how he coached, and then we watched some film.
“We met with coach Napier with my family and talked for a little bit. A lot of it wasn’t really about football; it was just meeting them and getting a feel for them. We also took some pictures, went around and toured the school, saw all the facilities, weight room and stuff like that.”
Mutual interest is high between the Gators and Mizell
When speaking with 2023 prospect earlier in the week, he was unsure about his plans for next Thursday. Now, he is slated to spend the majority of that day with the orange and blue. His parents will accompany him on the visit as well.

“It’s an SEC school,” Mizell said. “They play really good competition and are constantly putting people into the league. It’s a really good educational school because it’s a top-five public education program.”
Over 30 additional schools have given him the green light as well, including Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU and USC.
According to On3’s 2023 Rankings, Mizell is the No. 9 wide receiver and No. 52 player regardless of position.
“They’re definitely up there within my top schools, but there are a few other schools I want to visit before and then I will see where everything lands,” Mizell replied when asked about UF’s standing in his recruitment.”
During the 2021 season, Mizell reeled in 47 catches for 1,003 yards and 18 touchdowns for the 8-4 Braves.
