Predicting the Five Most Popular Florida Jerseys come September
Fans love to rep their favorite players with jerseys, and now that Florida can sell them, many more people will be in the market.
With the news that customized jerseys will be sold next fall, Gators Online put together a list of the top five most popular Florida Gators to have their jerseys bought when they become available.
1. Anthony Richardson
Number one is a no-brainer. Anthony Richardson, aka AR-15, will be the most popular jersey to come out in September, especially now that he switched to No. 15. Richardson is an outstanding player and plays the most popular position on the field, making him number one on the list.
Florida fans love Richardson due to his fantastic play and outstanding dual-threat capabilities. Richardson also grew up in Gainesville, making him even more popular around the city.
The “AR-15” brand is already well-established through Richardson’s NIL dealings. Now that UF can customize jerseys, he’ll be the player everyone flocks to.
2. Gervon Dexter
One of the only five-stars to come during the Dan Mullen era, Dexter is a fan-favorite. The defensive tackle will be atop draft boards during the season and wreaking havoc in the defensive trenches. Gator fans are incredibly familiar with Dexter, who hails from Polk County, a UF stronghold.
Dexter offers both a familiar face to fans and production on the field, making him a prime candidate for a jersey.
3. Jason Marshall
Continuing the tradition of DBU, Jason Marshall is the next member of the long list of defensive backs to come through Gainesville. Marshall will be a mainstay in the Florida secondary for at least two more years.
Given that Marshall has a single-digit jersey and often saw the field as a freshman, Florida fans will quickly grab Marshall’s No. 3 jersey.

4. Demarkcus Bowman
Another Polk County player, running back Demarkcus Bowman, will see his jersey fly off the shelves come September. Badly wanted by Florida Gator fans coming out of high school, Bowman selected Clemson until he ended up at UF via the transfer portal.
Now that he is in Orange and Blue, fans are dying to see the talented back on the field. Under Napier, Bowman will see plenty of touches, given he is healthy. The Jumpman logo is on the front of the jersey, and Bowman wears No. 23.
5. Diwun Black
One of the most popular recruits to come through Florida in recent years, Black’s loyalty to the Florida football program is very rare to find nowadays in College Football.
After initially committing to Florida, Black did not make it into the school. Black went the junior college route at Mississippi Gulf Coast and found his way back to UF as a junior. Meanwhile, Black recruited for UF and stayed close with the team and recruits.
Because of his perseverance and love for the school, fans love Black. Although he has played sparingly, the junior linebacker will contribute more moving forward.
Honorable mentions:
Outside linebacker Brenton Cox, safety Trey Dean, receiver Xzavier Henderson, safety Kamari Wilson, receiver Trent Whittemore
