The Gators had no shortage of big offensive plays in Sunday’s 52-17 win over Eastern Washington, and their defense made a few huge stops as well.

Florida finished with 14 plays of 20 yards or more, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown catch by Justin Shorter on the first offensive play and a 76-yard touchdown run by Ricky Pearsall.

Five of those 14 plays gained at least 40 yards, including Jalen Kitna’s 62-yard TD pass to Caleb Douglas, a 54-yard reception by Daejon Reynolds and Anthony Richardson’s 45-yard run.

The Gators also made two sacks, five additional tackles-for-loss and forced two fumbles, with defensive lineman Chris McClellan recording his first career fumble recovery.
