Texas Tech was originally considered one of the teams to beat in Perry’s recruitment when he entered the transfer portal on April 3. With a new staff, the Red Raiders are still in this recruitment.

With Kansas State losing Markquis Nowell to the NBA Draft, Jerome Tang the Wildcats are fully in the market for a ball handler.

The 2023 NIT most valuable player is in the transfer portal after he also entered his name in this year’s NBA Draft while keeping his college eligibility. He is eligible to play one more season of college basketball.

A season ago, Perry averaged 17.3 points on 43.7% from the floor and 41.3% from 3-point land, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals. He was also named the 2023 Conference USA Player of the Year.
