UA All-American CB J'Vari Flowers commits to Florida

The Florida Gators have reeled in another prospect for the 2025 cycle, as 4-star cornerback J’Vari Flowers committed to Billy Napier‘s program on Monday.
Back in February, the Gators were able to flip Onis Konanbanny from Tennessee. Now, they have landed another late addition at cornerback in Miami Northwestern’s Flowers, who previously reclassified from the 2026 class. Gators Online highlighted the Gators’ strong standing with Flowers on Sunday.
Flowers, a speedy defensive back who participated in this year’s Under Armour All-America Game, quickly put Florida near the top of his list after reclassifying in January. Nothing changed after UF went through coaching changes in the secondary either.
The Gators were still able to receive an official visit earlier this month and ultimately beat out plenty of competition for the On300 top-100 prospect. That includes Notre Dame, Miami, Georgia, Auburn, North Carolina and Syracuse
“They’re a big factor. They’ve got a couple players up there I’m familiar with. I know they put players in the right direction. And they have a a great history. They’re a powerhouse program that’s going to be back on top,” Flowers previously said of Florida when speaking with Gators Online.
Additional 2025 cornerbacks in the Gators’ class are Ben Hanks III and the aforementioned Onis Konanbanny. Florida also signed Southern Miss transfer Michael Caraway Jr., who could play a mixture of positions in the secondary.

According to the On300 rankings, Flowers is the No. 82 overall prospect and No. 10 cornerback. He is also the No. 12-ranked prospect in Florida, and that’s even after reclassifying, so this is a big-time talent.
