The former Arizona State standout was one of the most important additions this offseason to UF’s roster, boosting the talent at wide receiver. Pearsall finished 2021 with 48 receptions, 580 receiving yards and four touchdowns, leading the Sun Devils in all three categories.
“I think he’s competitive. I think that he’s proved himself,” Napier said in May of Pearsall. “He’s been a very productive player and I think he can get open. I think he can catch the ball. He’s proved to be a run-after-catch player.

“I think he’s got some toughness to his game. He can play on special teams. We’re adding a player that has had a ton of production in the past and we feel like this player can help our team.”
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Pearsall impressed during the first week of training camp. He appears to be one of Florida’s most explosive players on offense and has been working with the starters in the slot.
“I’m excited to see what Ricky Pearsall can do,” safety Rashad Torrence II said last Friday. “Just the energy he brings and having a new face — most guys come in kind of timid, but he came in with the energy that he belongs here, and we’ve embraced that. So, it’s a great feeling. He’s a nice piece to have.”
