WATCH: Gators TE Amir Jackson scores first career TD

Florida tight end Amir Jackson made his first career touchdown catch on Saturday, hauling in a 1-yard pass from quarterback DJ Lagway to give the Gators a 7-0 lead over No. 5-ranked Texas A&M early in the first quarter.
The score capped an efficient 8-play, 75-yard drive that drained 3:52 off the clock, a perfect opening drive for Billy Napier’s team on the road; however, Aggies have since followed that up with a score of their own, bringing the scoreboard to 7-7.
Amir Jackson, a former 4-star prospect out of Portal (Ga.) High, entered the season with high expectations after redshirting as a freshman. For Florida’s coaches and fans, his first touchdown is hopefully a sign of things to come for one of the program’s most athletic young pass catchers.
