WATCH: Former Gator Evan McPherson drills game-winner to lift Bengals

Former Florida Gators kicker Evan McPherson delivered in the clutch once again, this time under the bright lights of Thursday Night Football.
McPherson drilled a 36-yard field goal with seven seconds left to lift the Cincinnati Bengals to a 33-31 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, capping off a flawless night for the former Gator standout. He went 4-for-4 on field goals, including a long of 49 yards, and was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points in the win.

A 2021 fifth-round pick by Cincinnati, McPherson has earned a reputation as one of the NFL’s most dependable kickers since his days in Gainesville. The Fort Payne, Alabama native was one of college football’s most accurate kickers during his Florida career from 2018–20, converting 51-of-60 field goals (85 percent) and 149-of-150 extra points before turning pro.
Through seven games this season, McPherson has connected on 10-of-12 field goals and all of his extra points, continuing to showcase the consistency that makes him a key piece of the Bengals’ special teams unit.
