GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida football players Shemar JamesMontrell Johnson Jr., and Graham Mertz will represent the Gators at SEC Media Days along with head coach Billy Napier on Wednesday, July 17 in Dallas, Texas at the Omni Hotel.

Napier views SEC Media Days as a reward for players who have been in the program, and for leaders on the team. That is evident in his decision to bring senior quarterback Graham Mertz and senior running back Montrell Johnson. Bringing Shemar James, a junior, is a nod to James and how he has developed into a leader for the defense.

Florida will make its appearance at 1:45 p.m. ET in Dallas along with Alabama, Mississippi State and Texas. The Gators and Longhorns are scheduled during the same afternoon rotation block.
