More than two years after signing to play at Florida State, blue-chip wide receiver Destyn Hill now appears set to begin classes at the university next week.

Hill, who previously went by the name Destyn Pazon, is listed in the FSU student directory under that name, a check of the university’s directory showed late Tuesday night.

On3’s Sam Spiegelman first reported back in December and then again in March that the Louisiana standout would finally arrive at Florida State in May and begin classes.

A university source confirmed to Warchant earlier this month that Hill had been admitted but had not yet enrolled for the summer semester. That source also confirmed that Hill would be listed as Destyn Pazon when he did enroll for summer classes, and that name was listed as of Tuesday night.

A source close to the football program told Warchant in April that Hill would start summer school in mid-May. Summer classes begin next week.

Florida State cornerback Greedy Vance, who was a high school teammate of Hill’s, posted on Instagram last weekend that his close friend would be at FSU very soon.

“Tell em get that [popcorn] ready!” Vance posted.

Coming out of Louisiana powerhouse Edna Karr High School, Hill was rated the No. 88 overall prospect in the country and a four-star wide receiver by On3. He was ranked the No. 3 prospect in the state of Louisiana.

He burst onto the scene as a national prospect after catching 54 passes for more than 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior in 2019. He then caught 38 passes as a senior, with 15 going for touchdowns.

The speedy 6-foot wideout averaged more than 23 yards per catch as a senior and reportedly was clocked in 11.09 seconds in the 100 meters and below 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Hill’s HUDL film shows off both his elusiveness and breakaway speed.
