4-star FSU QB commit Tramell Jones shuts down recruitment, says he'll stick with 'Noles
Although there are still more than five months remaining until the early signing period in December, the Florida State Seminoles still got some very significant news Saturday evening, as four-star quarterback and FSU commit Tramell Jones shut down his recruitment and says he is only focused on the Seminoles.
Jones hinted that this decision might be coming over the last week, since his official visit to Florida State with his family last weekend. But on Saturday, he made it official with an announcement on social media.
There had been a major push in recent weeks from rival Florida to get Jones to flip his commitment, but the Jacksonville Mandarin standout stayed true to the Seminoles in the end.
Even though he didn’t formally shut things down during his official visit, Jones made it clear that he was already recruiting other prospects for FSU.

“I was focused on recruiting, coming after everybody this weekend,” he said after that visit. “My goal was to show the family-oriented qualities we have at Florida State, how real we are, and how we develop players to reach the NFL.”
