Florida State four-star quarterback commit Luke Kromenhoek didn’t take top honors at last week’s prestigious Elite 11 camp, as he had hoped, but he clearly made a strong impression.

The Elite 11 camp organizers named him to their official post-camp Elite 11, meaning he was among the best of the 20 participants in the finals.

On3 staff members who observed the three-day event ranked Kromenhoek at No. 4 following the competition and offered high praise for his performance on the final day of the event.

And on Monday, On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power featured Kromenhoek in his post-camp superlatives as the quarterback with the “most upside.”

“Kromenhoek was one of the bigger quarterbacks on hand, checking in around 6-foot-3.5, 190 pounds, with plenty of room to continue filling out,” Power wrote. “He easily had one of the strongest arms in attendance. The Florida State pledge drove the ball as well as any Elite 11 Finalist. He made some of the best passes we saw on Day 3, throwing ropes to the boundary and down the seam from 30 yards out. Kromenhoek pairs the size and arm strength with well above average movement skills – an area that further differentiates him from some other highly-touted peers.”

What’s perhaps most impressive about Kromenhoek’s performance at the Elite 11 is that he has only one year of experience as a starting quarterback in high school.

In 2021, he played behind Auburn signee Holden Geriner at Benedictine Military in Savannah, Ga. During his first season as a varsity starter in 2022, Kromenhoek passed for 2,576 yards with 24 touchdowns and three interceptions, according to MaxPreps.

On3 rates Kromenhoek as the No. 5 quarterback in the Class of 2024, the No. 7 prospect in Georgia and the No. 45 recruit in the country.
