Another blow for Florida State men's basketball: Cam'Ron Fletcher lost for season
The following news release was provided Sunday by Florida State’s Sports Information department:
Florida State’s Cam’Ron Fletcher will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season after suffering a right knee injury late in the second half of Saturday’s game against Virginia at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.
The former Kentucky transfer is one of the Seminoles’ most experienced players and was averaging 10.8 points and a team-best 7.5 rebounds per game.
Fletcher joins a list of six scholarship players including Baba Miller (NCAA suspension – set to return on Jan. 11, 2023 vs. Wake Forest), Jaylan Gainey (ACL – out for the year), Chandler Jackson (thumb), Jeremiah Bembry (back), Naheem McLeod (ankle) and De’Ante Green (ACL suffered as a high school senior) – who have missed playing time during the season.
