Fresh off a dominant victory on Saturday night and a 4-0 start to the 2022 season, Florida State Football has broken back into college football’s national top-25 rankings.

FSU is ranked No. 22 in the Coaches’ Poll and No. 23 in the AP Top 25 following a 44-14 win over Boston College and impressive last-minute wins away from home against LSU and Louisville.

The last time FSU was ranked in either poll was in 2018, four seasons ago, to open the year in the AP and Coaches’ Poll preseason rankings.

The ‘Noles opened this season under third-year FSU head coach Mike Norvell with a 47-7 win against FCS opponent Duquesne. They then knocked off LSU, 24-23, and pulled off a 35-31 win at Louisville.

Next up for the Seminoles is another home game next Saturday against Wake Forest, which lost in overtime earlier Saturday to Clemson, 51-45. The No. 21/22-ranked Demon Deacons are now 3-1 on the season and 0-1 in the ACC. That game is slated for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

Florida and Miami both fell out of the Top 25 this week after suffering defeats to Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State, respectively.

Six ACC schools are now in the Coaches’ Poll: No. 5 Clemson, No. 10 N.C. State, No. 21 Wake, No. 22 FSU, No. 24 Pitt and No. 25 Syracuse.

Syracuse did not make the AP poll, so the ACC has five teams in that ranking.
