Big Man Commits! 4-Star OT Mario Nash says he'll be a Seminole
Florida State gained a much-needed offensive tackle in the 2025 class on Thursday night as four-star prospect Mario Nash chose the Seminoles over Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
The commitment comes only a few days after Nash took his official visit to Tallahassee for the Florida State-Clemson game. He arrived for the visit a Mississippi State commit, but quickly backed off his pledge to the Bulldogs after leaving campus.
Nash announced his commitment on social media.
“I’m truly grateful for every Coach that has recruited me and spent valuable time pursuing me,” Nash wrote. “I want to thank my parents for being by my side to help guide me through this journey. I want to thank all of my Coaches who have helped develop me along the way. With that being said, I am shutting down my recruitment and committing to the Florida State Seminoles. Time to CLIMB!”
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, the 6-foot-4, 270-pound recruit is a top-300 player in the 2025 class as well as a top-10 prospect in Mississippi.
Nash’s commitment came at a very good time for Florida State as the Seminoles lost one of their top commitments, four-star wide receiver Daylan McCutcheon, just a few hours prior.
McCutcheon flipped his commitment from Florida State to his home-state Texas Longhorns after visiting Austin for the Texas vs. Mississippi State game. That visit came the same week Florida State was in the DFW area playing SMU, only a about 30 minutes from where McCutcheon plays.
