DECISION DAY: Florida State Among Two Finalists for industry five-star DB Charles Lester III
It has been looming for a little over a month, but the day is finally here for one of Florida’s top 2024 prospects. Five-star defensive back Charles Lester III will make his commitment tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET in Sarasota.
Lester was initially involved with a multitude of schools including Florida State, Colorado, Georgia and Alabama. But it has since become a two-team race.
This is now a battle between the Seminoles and Deion Sanders‘ Buffaloes.
According to the On3 industry ranking, Lester is rated as the second best cornerback in the country as well as the fourth-best player in Florida and 20th-best in the nation.
Florida State still holds a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 90.5%. This despite the fact that the five-star took a last-second surprise visit to Colorado in the past week.
FSU has racked up much of its RPM advantage via five On3 expert picks. Experts who predicted Florida State include: Warchant‘s Michael Langston, On3’s Sam Spiegelman, Josh Newberg and Kenny Jordan, in addition to myself.
