Florida State fans were not the only educated, invested voices taking to social media on Sunday following news the Seminoles did not make the cut for the College Football Playoff.

Opinion leaders from across sports, namely several from broadcast partner ESPN, vented their frustration with the selection process and Florida State’s absence in the forthcoming four team final.

Florida State, by virtue of winning the ACC, will play in the Orange Bowl. Their opponent is TBD but likely to come from the Southeastern Conference.

Big 10 Champion Michigan was ranked first, PAC 12 champion Washington second, Big XII Champion Texas third and SEC Champion Alabama 4th.

The semifinal games will be hosted by the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl on January 1.
