BREAKING -- Florida State linebacker DJ Lundy out for season
A veteran anchor of the Florida State defense has played his last game in 2024. Linebacker DJ Lundy will be out for the rest of the season with an injury, coach Mike Norvell announced after Wednesday’s practice.
“Obviously it’s disappointing,” Norvell said. “DJ is a young man that’s put a lot into the program. Just poured a lot into it. He’s been a really good player for us, great teammate. But unfortunately he will be out for the rest of the year due to injury.”
A redshirt senior, Lundy appeared in five games this season, amassing 25 total tackles and one tackle for loss. Lundy missed the Seminoles’ most recent game, a 29-13 loss to Clemson.
In all, Lundy appeared in 47 games as a Seminole. He registered 195 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks across five seasons at Florida State. Lundy also scored three touchdowns — two rushing, one receiving — as a fullback in 2022.

In Lundy’s absence this past Saturday, FSU used primarily a rotation of Omar Graham Jr. (47 snaps per Pro Football Focus), Blake Nichelson (36), Cam Riley (34) and Justin Cryer (33) at linebacker.
