Florida State home game against Boston College officially a sellout
The Florida State football team’s undefeated 2022 team will play in front of a sellout home crowd this Saturday night when the ‘Noles face Boston College for an 8 p.m. kickoff (ACC Network).
Announced by FSU on Friday morning, the program has sold out the capacity of just under 80,000 seats inside Doak Campbell Stadium following the team’s first 3-0 start since 2015. It’s believed to be the first complete sellout since over 82,000 attended FSU’s win over Miami seven seasons ago. (The stadium’s capacity was reduced when the Champions Club was unveiled in 2016.)
FSU head coach Mike Norvell explained on Monday the benefits of a raucous home crowd in Tallahassee.
“I’m really proud of our team. As we get into this week, it’s great to get back home,” Norvell said. “I know we’re excited, we’ve got a prime-time kickoff. It should be a great crowd and we need it to be an electric atmosphere to create that home-field advantage. … I love that we’re sitting here at 3-0, but we still haven’t played our best game.”
