The Florida State staff has landed three-star defensive lineman Tyeland Coleman as its second JUCO prospect in the 2025 class. Coleman chose the Seminoles on Tuesday night over Mississippi State and Illinois.

Coleman played in 11 games for Northwest Mississippi Community College this past season, totaling 30 tackles, 3.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also had three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup.

According to On3, the 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect is one of the best junior college players in the country. He is ranked as the No. 8 player overall and the fourth-best at his position.

The commitment comes shortly after Coleman took his official visit to Florida State for the Seminoles’ matchup against Florida. He earlier listed FSU in his Top 3.

“The visit overall is amazing …,” Coleman said of his trip to Tallahassee. “The environment and culture is definitely something that stuck out to me.”
