Trench run continues -- OL Daniel Pierre Louis commits to Florida State over Florida, NC State
Florida State landed its second offensive line commit in a week Tuesday afternoon when interior lineman Daniel Pierre Louis picked the Seminoles over NC State and Florida.
According to the On3 2025 class rankings, Louis is a top 50 interior offensive lineman and a top 100 prospect in the state of Florida.
This commitment comes less than two weeks after Pierre Louis took his official visit to Tallahassee for the Seminoles’ home game against Clemson.
Going into the visit, Florida State was seen as the leader in this recruitment due to a Recruiting Prediction Machine pick by On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
FSU identified the Loxahatchee product during a camp in June, and in July, he was offered a scholarship. Since then, the Seminoles were the team to beat.
Offensive coordinator and line coach Alex Atkins played a significant role in landing Pierre Louis. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound linemen raved about his relationship with Atkins after his official visit.

“It’s been really real, you know,” Pierre Louis said. “They’ve just been seeing areas of improvement and what I’ve been doing good in and how I can just work, and I love it.”
The three-star did have an official visit scheduled to Florida in the near future. It is unclear if that visit will still take place at this time.
