Florida State-LSU is nation's hottest ticket in college football's opening weeks
College football fans who want to attend Florida State’s season opener against LSU had better either already have their tickets, or be prepared to open their wallets really wide.
The Camping World Kickoff game, which is slated for Sunday, Sept. 3, in Orlando is easily the hottest ticket in the first two weeks of the 2023 season, according to secondary market ticket outlet Stubhub.
The cheapest tickets available for the showdown between the No. 8 Seminoles and No. 5 Tigers are $160 each (for two seats together), and those are located in the upper deck of the roughly 60,000-seat stadium.
For premium seats — near midfield on the Florida State sideline — the cheapest pair of seats are going for $909 apiece. The next cheapest pair are $1,000 apiece, and the prices soar from there all the way up to $3,078 per ticket.
Similar premium tickets on the LSU sideline are also extremely pricey, but not quite as high. They start at $654 apiece and increase up to a high of $1,530 each.
According to Stubhub, there are no Week 0 games drawing anything close to those prices on the secondary market. The only other game in the first two weeks that’s close is the rematch between the Florida Gators and No. 14 Utah on Thursday, Aug. 31, in Salt Lake City.

Because Utah’s Rice–Eccles Stadium only seats 51,444 and doesn’t have an upper deck, the cheapest tickets for that game are actually a little higher at $179 apiece. But the premium seats are much more affordable.
For a midfield seat on the Utah sideline, the cheapest seat is $288. From there, the next offering is $363, and they increase from there up to $1,073.
Premium seats on the UF sideline are starting for $582 apiece and then rise all the way up to $2,451.
The toughest tickets in Week 2 will likely be had at the Texas-Alabama game in Tuscaloosa. The cheapest seats for the showdown between the No. 4 Crimson Tide and No. 11 Longhorns are going for $225. But premium midfield seats can be had for $666 on one sideline and $832 on the other.
