Florida State QB commit Luke Kromenhoek now a Top 50 national recruit, per On3
When Florida State football coach Mike Norvell first offered Luke Kromenhoek a scholarship, the young quarterback hadn’t started a high school game and was hardly known on the recruiting circuit.
On Monday, On3 unveiled its updated rankings for the Class of 2024, and Kromenhoek is now a Top 50 recruit nationally.
The four-star signal-caller, who announced this past weekend that he is shutting down his recruitment and is locked in with Florida State, moved up 14 spots in the On3 rankings from No. 59 to No. 45. The Savannah, Ga., product is the No. 5 quarterback in the country.
Kromenhoek is rated highly by all of the major recruiting outlets, but he is viewed more favorably by On3 than the rest. 247Sports has him listed at No. 66 nationally, ESPN has him at No. 213, while Rivals does not include him in its national rankings.

Florida State four-star wide receiver commit Tawaski Abrams also saw his ranking improve in the latest On3 release; he jumped eight spots to No. 216.
The only other FSU commit in the Top 300 is four-star running back Kameron Davis, but his ranking actually fell from No. 46 to No. 59.
With Kromenhoek and Davis, Florida State is one of only six schools with multiple commitments from prospects in the Top 60.
A few other top Florida State targets saw their rankings rise as well.
Sarasota four-star cornerback Charles Lester, who is considered a strong FSU lean by the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (92.7 percent), jumped from No. 23 to No. 15.

Four-star Clearwater offensive tackle Jason Zandamela, who is a 97.1 percent favorite to commit to Florida State, soared from No. 299 to No. 135. And Tallahassee four-star athlete Micahi Danzy rose from No. 180 to No. 142; the RPM has FSU in the lead here as well at 56.0 percent.
Pensacola five-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels saw his ranking slide from No. 9 to No. 11; he is a 90.5 percent favorite to become a Seminole.
FSU also is a contender for Alabama receiver Cam Coleman, who jumped from No. 20 to No. 6. The new five-star recruit is a heavy lean to Auburn, according to the RPM, but he has listed the Seminoles among his favorites and visited Florida State in March.
