The Florida State baseball team’s batting order is going to look very different in 2025.

One day after sluggers James Tibbs III and Cam Smith were selected in the first round of the MLB Draft, the Seminoles saw two more big bats go in the fourth round on Monday.

Marco Dinges, who hit .323 this past season with 15 home runs and 69 RBIs, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers with the No. 123 pick overall.

Three picks later, outfielder Jaime Ferrer was selected by the Minnesota Twins with the No. 126 pick. Ferrer hit .317 this season and ranked second on the team with 22 home runs. He was third on the team with 67 RBIs.

Florida State also saw two big arms selected in the early rounds Monday.

Left-handed pitcher Carson Dorsey, who came up huge for the Seminoles in the postseason, was selected in the seventh round (No. 219 overall) by the Baltimore Orioles. Dorsey finished 2024 with an 8-4 record and 4.60 ERA.

One round later, Florida State right-hander Gavin Adams was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates at No. 234 overall. Adams, a junior college transfer, did not pitch this past season for the Seminoles after undergoing Tommy John surgery, but his fastball was clocked at 101 mph before the injury.

Adams was drafted in the 11th round out of junior college but chose to attend Florida State instead.
