Top LB target Wallace remains consistent; Florida State 'number one right now for sure'
Four-star linebacker Tavion Wallace finished up a series of official visits this past weekend at Florida State. Now he has entered decision mode.
The 6-foot-1, 216-pound prospect will make his commitment on July 2. Wallace will choose between Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Florida State.
According to On3, the Jesup, Ga., standout is a top 50 player in the country as well as the third-ranked linebacker in the 2025 class.
Wallace told Warchant at the On3 Elite Series in Nashville last month that Florida State was his leader. Now, after all his official visits have wrapped, he tells On3’s Phillip Dukes on the “Five-Star Flex” that the Seminoles still lead the pack.
“They’re number one right now for sure,” Wallace said. “Just coach [Mike] Norvell really, him and coach [Randy] Shannon. They would be the main reasons I go there.”
The four-star was a significant part fo Florida State’s biggest official visit weekend of the year and, by extension, one of the most star-studded recruiting events in Norvell’s five-year tenure.
“Coach Norvell, that’s my dog,” Wallace said. “Man, when I got there, everybody calls me tornado kid, he’s just yelling, ‘Tornado!‘ … I walk around the corner and he’s doing push-ups waiting for me, so that really did a lot.”
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Seminoles have a 93.5% chance of landing Wallace on July 2.
There are three expert predictions in favor of Florida State, one from On3 national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong and two others from Warchant’s Michael Langston and Matt LaSerre.
