Now that we are officially in June, recruiting madness will start shortly for Florida State and other college football programs. The official visits will begin this weekend — here is a complete breakdown of those — and then it’s on to camp season.

The Mike Norvell Camps will kick off on June 7, with Big Man camp and a 7-on-7 event. It is important to note that most of these camps are designed for all high-schoolers, from the classes of 2024 through 2027.

The first camps will be held at the Seminoles’ Rec SportsPlex, about 10 minutes from Florida State’s main campus. Others will take place at the FSU practice fields.

Big Man camp is exactly as it sounds — it’s for offensive and defensive line players only. These camps will be held on June 7 and again on June 21.

The 7-on-7 events also are scheduled to take place on those two dates. According to the Mike Norvell Football Camp website, there is an instructional component to the 7-on-7 tournaments, but the competition is fierce with various high schools competing for top honors.

The tournaments will feature four games of pool play, followed by a single-elimination tournament. Three-star safety and Florida State commit CJ Heard and four-star defensive lineman London Merrit told Warchant they will be competing with their school, Woodward Academy, at this event.

Next up, on the morning of June 9, Florida State will hold its quarterback camp. This is open to signal-callers in the classes of 2024 through 2027, and it’s often an opportunity for the Seminoles’ coaches to get a first look at younger QBs. FSU actually extended its offer to 2024 QB commit Luke Kromenhoek after his strong performance in the 2021 camp — long before he even started in high school.

Also on June 9, the Seminoles will hold their first of three individual camps. The camps are open to all positions, again for all high school classes, and the other two dates are June 14 and June 18.

June 10 will offer up one of the more fun camps to watch. This is the Elite Camp, and it is invitation-only as it will feature some of the top prospects in the country. For example, five-star tight end Landen Thomas and four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek are scheduled to attend. Five-star wide receiver Jojo Trader is also slated to be there, although it’s unclear if he will compete.

Then comes the Mega Camp. This camp will take place on June 11, but is only for the classes of 2024 and 2025. The purpose for this event is not so much for Florida State targets but to help under-the-radar prospects get seen by colleges from around the country.

Lastly is the kicking camp. This will take place on June 14 — the same day as the second individual camp.

Here is the full schedule for the Mike Norvell Camps:

June 7 — 7-on-7 and Big Man camp

June 9 — QB camp and Individual camp

June 10 — Elite Camp

June 11 — Mega Camp

June 14 — Kicking camp and Individual camp

June 18 — Individual camp

June 21 — 7-on-7 and Big Man camp
