Florida State women head to Baton Rouge as No. 6 seed in NCAA Tournament
The Florida State women’s basketball is heading to Baton Rouge, La., for the opening rounds of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Seminoles are a No. 6 seed and will take on No. 11 seed George Mason on Saturday. The winner of that game will face the winner of No. 3 seed LSU vs. No. 14 seed San Diego State.
Florida State, which enters the postseason with a 23-8 record (13-5 in the ACC), has been selected to its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament.
George Mason comes in on a hot streak after winning the Atlantic-10 Conference Tournament. The Patriots won all three games in the tournament by at least 13 points, and they are now 27-5 overall.

Florida State is paced by junior guard Ta’Niya Latson, who leads the nation in scoring with 24.9 points per game. As a team, the Seminoles are tied for No. 2 nationally in scoring offense with Tennessee at 87.2 points per game. The only team that averages more is Murray State at 87.7.
Redshirt sophomore forward Zahira Walton leads the Patriots with 15.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
