The Florida State football team has now landed its 11th commitment out of the transfer portal this cycle and first on the offensive line, as interior lineman Terrence Ferguson chose the Seminoles over the Oklahoma Sooners Thursday afternoon.

Ferguson, a former Alabama Crimson Tide player, originally hails form Fort Valley, Ga., where he starred at Peach County High School. He is another player that Florida State recruited out of high school and the ‘Noles were able to land with their second shot.

According to On3, Ferguson was a top-65 player in the class of 2021. He was also the third-ranked player at his position and a top-10 player in the state of Georgia.

“I am so excited about TJ joining the ‘Nole Family,” Florida State coach Mike Norvell said in a release. “He brings tremendous size and athleticism with an incredibly high ceiling for the impact he can make. TJ is a wonderful young man off the field who is extremely intelligent with a great plan to maximize his opportunity here at Florida State. We think this is a special fit into our offensive line room as TJ embraces the work and culture we have established.”

Ferguson spent three seasons at Alabama but got the majority of his playing time in 2023. He played 116 snaps last season and recorded the second-highest pass-blocking grade on the Crimson Tide with an 80.3.
