Four-star 2027 athlete commits to FSU Football
The Florida State football staff landed another commitment for the 2027 class on Monday as four-star athlete Kaneilius Purdy jumped on board with the Seminoles.
“I picked FSU because they felt like family to me. Been my dream school since elementary.” Purdy told Warchant.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Purdy is already one of the top players in the class. He is ranked as the No. 241 recruit overall, as well as the 12th-best athlete. He is also the 12th-ranked player in the state of Florida.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder committed to Florida State over schools like Florida and FAU. The Gators actually held a lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine prior to Purdy announcing his commitment on X (formerly known as Twitter) Monday.

The four-star athlete from Lake Wales has yet to visit Florida State in 2025, however, he did make his way to Tallahassee for a mini-junior day on Dec. 21.
Purdy becomes the third commitment in Florida State’s 2027 recruiting class, joining four-star safety Mekhi Williams, who announced his commitment last week, and four-star safety Jaylen Scott.
