With the addition Sunday of former Virginia pitcher Bryson Moore, the FSU baseball team now has six new arms coming in via the transfer portal.

Moore, who was a sophomore this past season with the Cavaliers, announced on social media that he will continue his career at FSU. He was the second college pitcher to announce his transfer to the Seminoles in the past 24 hours.

The 6-foot-3 right-hander didn’t factor in any decisions this past season, but he started four games and made seven total appearances. In those games, he posted a 3.44 ERA while striking out 21 batters and walking eight in 18 1/3 innings.

In 2024, he also made seven appearances with four starts. Moore posted a 2-0 record that season with a 1.38 ERA.

Moore’s commitment came one day after FSU landed a commitment from Oregon transfer Cole Stokes.

A 6-foot-6, 230-pound right-hander, Stokes made 24 appearances and pitched 20 1/3 innings this past season; he posted a 1-2 record with a 3.10 ERA. Stokes struck out 39 batters with 16 walks, but he also was credited with 15 batters hit by pitch. As a freshman in 2024, Stokes only pitched 8 2/3 innings and posted a 0-0 record with a 11.42 ERA.

FSU also recently added lightly used Mississippi State freshman Cade O’Leary. The 6-4 righty only pitched two innings this past season for the Bulldogs, but he was a highly rated prospect coming out of high school in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Seminoles also picked up former Central Arkansas righty Charlie Christensen. The 6-4 veteran has made 49 appearances over the last three seasons and has 119 career strikeouts and 66 walks in 148.0 innings. His best season came in 2024 when he threw 81.1 innings in 16 appearances with 11 starts.

Christensen finished that year with a 5-4 record and a 5.98 ERA. In 2025, he only threw 25 1/3 innings in 19 appearances and posted a 9.24 ERA.

FSU earlier landed FAU startering pitcher Trey Beard, who is considered one of the top transfers of this cycle. The 6-foot-2 left-hander went 7-1 for the Owls in 2025; he posted an ERA of 3.14 and recorded 118 strikeouts in 86.1 innings pitched.

The Seminoles also picked up former Barry University left-hander Kevin Mebil, who started his career at FAU and then had a strong year at the Division-II school in South Florida. Mebil posted a 2.04 ERA this past season, mostly as a reliever. He pitched 35 1/3 innings in 21 appearances, striking out 42 while walking 23.

The only position player who has announced a transfer to FSU so far is former Davidson infielder Eli Putnam. The veteran batted .349 this past season with 19 home runs and 62 RBIs.
