FSU Basketball lands Clemson forward transfer Chauncey Wiggins
The Florida State men’s basketball team landed another key transfer on Wednesday as former Clemson forward Chauncey Wiggins confirmed on social media that he will be a Seminole.
Wiggins committed after his visit to Florida State this past weekend. He becomes head coach Luke Loucks’ third commitment this portal cycle, joininh Drexel’s Kobe MaGee and St. Bonaventure’s Lajae Jones.
At Clemson this past season, Wiggins averaged 8.3 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. He also shot 43.8 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from 3-point range.
The 6-foot-10, 216-pounder played a big part in Clemson’s comeback against McNeese State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, where he had 10 points and two rebounds.
In his two games against Florida State this season, Wiggins scored 12 points with four rebounds at Clemson and then finished with 11 points and eight rebounds in Tallahassee.

With nine departures from Florida State in the portal, the Seminoles will continue to add to their roster over the next few weeks.
Transfer targets Isaac Garrett and Robert McCray have both been on campus recently, as well as highly touted high school recruits Joshua Lewis and Thomas Bassong.
