FSU men’s basketball was already going to look different in 2025-26 with new head coach Luke Loucks guiding the program. In recent weeks, it’s become clear that a roster makeover will be comprehensive as well.

On3’s Joe Tipton reported Tuesday that center Malique Ewin is entering the transfer portal. Ewin, who averaged over 14 points and seven rebounds per game in his lone season in Tallahassee, jumped in the portal a little more than 12 hours after guard Daquan Davis did the same.

Davis and Ewin are the eighth and ninth Seminoles to enter the portal, respectively.

On the import market, FSU has already added two transfers: Kobe Magee, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Drexel and Lajae Jones, a 6-foot-7 power forward from St. Bonaventure.

Florida State has few remaining holdovers from its 2024-25 roster, led by forwards AJ Swinton and Alier Maluk. Forward Taylor Bol Bowen, currently in the transfer portal, is the only outgoing player who has said he’d consider a return to FSU.
