FSU Battles Back! Seminoles keep 4-star DL Kevin Wynn in 2025 class
As Florida State’s 2025 recruiting class began to crater during a dreadful 2-10 season, this one did not look good for the Seminoles.
At one point, South Carolina appeared poised to snatch four-star defensive line commitment Kevin Wynn away from the ‘Noles. Then it was his home-state Georgia Bulldogs.
But after a late push from Florida State this past weekend, Wynn has decided to stick with his long-standing commitment and sign with FSU. That is a huge victory for the ‘Noles, considering Wynn was communicating and visiting numerous schools, including Southern Cal and the aforementioned Bulldogs and Gamecocks.
During the process, Wynn said that longtime Florida State defensive line coach Odell Haggins reassured him that the Seminoles would turn things around quickly.
“He was just saying that it is going to get better. He’s been in this situation before,” Wynn said earlier this fall. “I believe it. It’s just they lost a lot, but they’re low-key rebuilding back up. … You see the potential, especially towards the end of the game. They started coming up a little bit.
