FSU is just days away from opening its first set of practices under new offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. As spring football fever rises, Warchant lead football analyst Dominic Robinson is back to look at All-22 coaches’ film to provide insights about the Seminoles’ new offensive leader.

This UCF-based breakdown is the final in a series (Part 1 | Part 2) of film studies that bridge Malzahn’s Auburn offense in the mid 2010’s with his more modern-day approach. Though time has passed, Robinson says, in many ways you can set a watch by FSU’s new offensive coordinator.

“Gus is Gus,” Robinson said. “His fingerprint is as distinct as any that I’ve seen. I feel like I could watch his game in black and white without jersey names on it… what’s old is new and what’s new is old. It’s the same stuff. It’s dressed up differently, slightly better jerseys.”
