FSU lands another top D-Lineman ... 4-star Myron Charles commits to 'Noles
Florida State picked up yet another huge commitment on Friday as four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles announced he will be a Seminole. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound recruit from Port Charlotte chose the Seminoles over Texas, Florida and Miami.
According to On3, Charles is the No. 4 defensive lineman in the country one of the nation’s top 60 prospects overall, and a top-10 prospect in Florida.
This commitment comes off of Florida State’s huge official visit weekend on June 21, and the four-star is now the third 2025 commitment to come out of that weekend alone. He is the second highly touted defensive lineman, joining four-star Kevin Wynn.
Charles and Wynn give the Seminoles two of the nation’s top 12 defensive linemen, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
Seeing how the staff and players operate outside of football was a big deal for Charles.
“The potential teammates, I mean just to see how they are away from football,” he said after the visit. “It’s huge … I really like the staff.”
Charles’s recruitment had been trending in Florida State’s direction for some time. On3’s Vice President of Recruitment and Transfer Portal, Steve Wiltfong, put in a pick for the Seminoles to land Charles early in May.
