Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis is one of 45 college quarterbacks expected to serve as counselors at the prestigious Manning Passing Academy later this month, according to a report from the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

The Manning Academy hadn’t officially announced the complete list of participants as of Tuesday morning, but the newspaper reported that Travis is among the group expected to participate.

Interestingly enough, two quarterbacks from LSU — Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeier — will be there as well. They, of course, will face Travis and the Seminoles in the season opener on Sept. 3 in Orlando.

The event is scheduled to be held June 22-25 at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.

It is headlined each year by former NFL great Archie Manning and his sons, Peyton, Eli and Cooper.

“For over 25 years, the Manning Passing Academy has been helping players fully realize their potential on and off of the football field,” Archie Manning says on the official academy website. “Whether you’re a QB, RB, WR, or TE, the Manning Passing Academy will help you grasp the fundamentals of your position, and basic offensive and defensive strategies.”

Travis is expected to be a Heisman Trophy contender in 2023 after a breakout season in which he passed for 3,214 yards with 24 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Other ACC quarterbacks selected to participate include Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke, Duke’s Riley Leonard, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, and Boston College’s Emmett Morehead.
