The Florida State football team will be without four key players when the Seminoles take on visiting Boston College tonight in their home opener, an FSU spokesman confirmed with Warchant and other media outlets.

Wide receiver Hykeem Williams, who was held out of Florida State’s season opener against Georgia Tech, will miss the Boston College game as well. The Seminoles also will be without starting right tackle Jeremiah Byers and backup linebackers Omar Graham Jr. and Shawn Murphy.

Byers started the season opener at right tackle as well as all 14 games last season. With him out of action, the Seminoles likely will turn to redshirt senior Robert Scott or redshirt sophomore Jaylen Early.

Graham started the season opener at linebacker, but he was listed as a backup on this week’s depth chart after not recording a tackle against Georgia Tech.

Murphy was not in uniform for Florida State’s opener in Dublin, Ireland, but he is expected to be a contributor as a backup linebacker and special-teams player. Williams is expected to be an integral member of the Seminoles’ receiver corps once he is available.

Florida State did not offer details on the reasons for their absence.
