'I'm locked in' ... 4-star TE Chase Loftin confirms he will be signing with FSU
Earlier this year, when Florida State’s 2024 football season was going in the wrong direction, several analysts predicted that FSU tight end commit Chase Loftin was trending toward staying home with Nebraska and backing out of his pledge to the Seminoles.
That is no longer a concern.
Two days before National Signing Day and the start of the three-day early signing period, Loftin announced on social media that he is shutting things down and will stick with the Seminoles.
“I’m locked in! Go Noles!” Loftin posted Monday evening on Twitter/X.
Even as rumors swirled that the four-star tight end was wavering on his commitment, he repeatedly stated that he still considered himselg a member of Florida State’s 2025 recruiting class.
More than anything, he just wanted to check out other schools and be sure he was making the right decision.
“I’m still solid with FSU,” Loftin said last month. “I talk with them almost every other day. The visits are more about seeing different places and that I made the right decision.”

From what we’ve heard from multiple sources, those visits did nothing but confirm to Loftin that he wants to be at Florida State. He is expected to sign with the Seminoles this week.
