Key West offensive lineman Christopher Otto signs with Florida State
While most of the attention this week has been on Florida State’s offensive line acquisitions through the transfer portal, the Seminoles picked up an important high school lineman Wednesday morning during the early National Signing Day.
Key West lineman Christopher Otto, who took an official visit to Florida State this past weekend and said he loved everything about the FSU program and university, followed that up by signing with the Seminoles.
Otto is a three-star prospect who measured in at just over 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds when he visited Tallahassee over the weekend. After that visit, Otto said one of the main attractions was Florida State’s nationally acclaimed film school, because he hopes to be a filmmaker once his football days are over.

Not surprisingly, Otto also raved about offensive line coach/offensive coordinator Alex Atkins.
“He does things differently than all of the other visits that I’ve gone to,” Otto said. “He keeps it real, like everyone says, but I don’t know … he just has a different kind of perspective on everything.”
Florida State’s coaches haven’t told Otto whether he will line up at guard or tackle when he arrives next summer, and he said he doesn’t have a preference.
